Nursery nears completion

As we enter the final month of pregnancy, the nursery is almost ready. The nightstand is on back order and the curtains need to be hemmed but the rest is ready for our little one's arrival. While we are incredibly excited, it's hard to believe she could make her debut at any time within the next month or so. Where has the time gone?

Progress on baby's room

Most of the furniture we ordered for the nursery was delivered last week. In addition, Mike's mom was kind enough to paint the baby's room for us while we were away on vacation -- thank you! Needless to say, I have been enjoying countless hours organizing, reorganizing and setting up the room.

Completed room pictures will come soon. In the meantime, enjoy our snapshots of the initial set-up. Notice Josie is almost every picture -- she was our project manager, sniffing things out to make sure they are up to standard for her little sister :).

Babymoon

Last week Mike and I rented a cabin in the Brainerd lakes area. We both grew up going to cabins for family vacations each summer and are very excited to make this a yearly tradition for our growing family. Throughout the week we enjoyed lots of fishing and boating, evening bonfires and local shopping. It was great to get "us" time as we prepare for the arrival of our little girl. We're already talking about how fun it will be to have her at the cabin with us next summer.

Showered

Thank you to all those that could make it to my family and friends of family shower on Saturday, July 17. Thank you to Tami and Meggan for throwing such a wonderful shower. Mike and I are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends in our lives. Many of you traveled a great distance to be there and it meant so much to me. We were definitely showered with love and great baby gifts!
